geyellig. You'll find this makes for much more relaxed service, though you are still expected
to tip the waiting staff around 5-10%.

De Beiaard
A chain of Dutch restaurants with their own brewery. The cozy atmosphere is typically Dutch
andt the menu modern, with traditional fish and stew staples alongside international and veggie choices.
La Place
Crowded food hall canteen attached to the V&D department store. Food includes everything from fresh salads
to stir fry, and steak to pizza. The kitchens are spread around the hall, and you can see everything being
prepared so you know that its fresh.
Los Pilones
One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants you will find anywhere
outside of the USA.
Nam Kee
The most famous Chinese restaurant in Amsterdam in the heart of Chinatown, directly opposite the Buddhist Temple.
Pakhuis
Student restaurant and bar on a quiet side street in the main shopping district.
The Pancake Bakery
The most famous pancake place in Amsterdam. Serves giant, pizza-sized pancakes with sweet or savory fillings.

Cheap and colourful Italian restaurant with surprisingly good, thin-crust pizza. They serve some of the best cheap
pizzas in town.
De Vliegende Schotel
